• Image of Sky on Fire

On the final day of 2014 I ventured off to the prairies of Alberta in search of Owls. I spent hours driving around looking for one, so long in fact that the sun started to set. I started on my way home when I noticed a single lonely tree in a field silhouetted by the sunset. The sky looked as if someone lit a fire on the horizon, the balance of the cold ground and the warm sky was amazing. I quickly snuck up to the tree trying not to be seen because I couldn't tell if I was on private property or not. The light and clouds dance across the sky as the last day of 2014 slowly faded to night.
