The Rocky Mountains are quite the spectacle all year round, with iconic locations sprinkled through out the park. When winter takes over, the beauty of the Banff National Park is even more impressive. The Canadian Rockies have captured my heart and I am sure it will capture your heart as well.

Join me on a 7 day adventure, where we will explore some of the most incredible landscapes on the planet. I will assist you in prepping for the conditions and guide you in capturing stunning images. There is nothing like the smell of cool crisp mountain air, the sound of crunching powder under your feet and winter's beautiful colour pallet. During this 7 day photography workshop, I will show you some of the best winter shooting locations in the Banff and Jasper areas of the Canadian Rockies.

Together we will explore the fundamentals for shooting in harsh conditions, how to keep ourselves and our gear protected from the elements and allow us to capture the desired shots. With small groups of passionate photographers we will be able to achieve greater amounts of time on location, while I teach you how to capture stunning images of your very own.

The Canadian Rockies are like no where else on the planet! Banff National Park is one of Canadas most beautiful place to explore. From the breath taking colours of the glacier fed lakes to the astonishing mountain peaks, Banff National Park is filled with adventures waiting for you.

We will be lodging at a variety of hotels throughout our stay. A full itinerary with locations and accommodations will be provided closer to the workshops date.

Physical Requirements:

This workshop will include some moderate hikes on uneven ground and loose gravel and ice. You are required to be able to hike 2 miles (round trip) with moderate elevation gain, with you camera gear unassisted. If you are un able to do so I will do my best to suggest alternative vantage points while the group is shooting from the main location. Be aware we will be venturing out onto frozen lakes, these surfaces are uneven, very hard and extremely slippery. We also may encounter spots of deep snow which make hiking harder. The weather in some places can reach as -30C to -40C.
