On the Oregon coast is a spectacular landscape, Cannon Beach in particular stole my heart. This gorgeous place has a low gentle gradation to the beach which allows the tide to blanket the sand and create a mirror like affect. The real show happens at sunset when the clouds are lit ablaze and the sand turns to fire.
Before I arrived someone had set up two pieces of drift wood to hang a hammock, luckily for me they left as the temperature dropped heading into sunset. I setup and watched the sun slowly drop behind the horizon. Everything worked out perfectly, sometimes life works in wondrous ways.
Choosing to go a day later than planned, those people setting up the drift wood in just the right spot for the waves to rush in just far enough and placed just right to catch the sun peaking from behind Haystack Rock. I sat back and took in the moment created by beautiful moments in life.
